Discs and wheels are used for cutting sprues, reducing sprue stumps and reducing bulk areas of metal and porcelain.
They come in various shapes and thicknesses to accommodate many functions.
Metal Finishing Wheels
Non-contaminating. Red-colored, long lasting ceramic-coated, aluminum-oxide wheels grind all types of alloys. These are specially designed for the initial bulk reduction of ceramic alloys prior to porcelain application.
Knife-Edge Whiz Wheels
Brown-colored, silicone-tapered wheels are for removing scratches from crown and bridge and porcelain-to-metal alloys. They also remove scratches from interproximal areas and occlusal surfaces.
Separating & Finishing Discs- Non-contaminating.
- Aluminum-oxide discs can be used for most types of metal finishing, from sprue removal to initial surface preparation.
Cut-Off Discs- Non-contaminating.
- Designed for hard-to-reach areas, these discs are made of non-contaminating aluminum-oxide abrasive. Preferred usage is for cutting sprues, bulk reduction, grinding and shaping chrome-cobalt alloys for partial dentures.
Rubber Wheels & Points
These fine, pure-silicon, carbide abrasives are made in a premium quality synthetic rubber. Rubber wheels are strong and produce an excellent finish on both chrome alloys and precious metals.
Jel-Thin 9’s
A strictly controlled bond of synthetic rubber and silicon carbide produce this indispensable tool for finishing and shaping porcelain margins and interproximals. They are strong and long wearing.
Golden Lustre Polishers & Accessories
Silicone rubber products are for polishing high-gold content and palladium alloys. GL1 white wheels and discs remove scratches from the alloy surface. GL2 blue wheels, knife-edge discs and points polish alloy to a golden luster.
Carving Wheel
This silicon-carbide wheel carves and shapes porcelain surfaces to produce smooth and even carving of tooth anatomy. Use after the reducing wheel.
Fine Polish Wheel
Fine, pure-silicon carbide wheel brings porcelain to a smooth finish after grinding.
