Heraeus Presents Oral Health Fair at Local Homeless Shelter

Heraeus recently hosted an oral health fair at the South Bend Center for the Homeless in South Bend, IN on Thursday, February 18, 2010. The fair included several stations on topics such as healthy eating, how to brush and floss, good oral care and a Kid’s Corner with coloring and games.

“Since our relocation to South Bend just two years ago, we have been committed to helping the community grow and showing our support,” explained Chris Holden, President of Heraeus. "We feel privileged to be a part of a community that truly looks out for its members and are thriled to be able to offer this resource to the South Bend Center for the Homeless.

During the health fair, more than 50 residents participated and received information and materials to help maintain good oral health including toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss and gifts for the children.

“We are always grateful for the volunteer work and supplies donated by our community businesses,” stated Dr. Peter Lombardo, Director of Community Involvement at the Center. “The generosity of Heraeus and its employees has made a difference in the lives of many and their donations and time are truly appreciated.”
